A picture is worth a thousand words
A photo of Seff was all that Lark had left of her best friend. Tears fell down her face after watching her best friend’s throat get slit by someone from District 1. Lark was also angry by how easy it was for Seff to be killed. And yet, she also found herself wishing that she had taken the time to tell him that she loved him. Lark closed her eyes, whispering to the photograph, “I loved you.”
